Nevolution

Nevolution is an open platform for Android to evolve the notification experience of existing apps, in a creative developer-independent way via community-driven plug-ins, without the involvement of the original app developer.

Android supports highly rich notification experience, and the feature set expanded in almost every major Android versions. Unfortunately, most apps only use a small set of limited capabilities of notification, rendering them less elegant and even ugly on your modern Android devices.

If you use an Android Wear smart watch or Android Auto powered car, it's extremely disappointed that probably most of your favorite apps do not work on them.

We are not asking any more, but showing them the right way to build better experience, with the efforts from Nevolution community.

Limitations

* Notification sound and vibration may be interrupted early. A solution is being worked on.

* Before Android 6.0, due to platform limitation, the status-bar icon of the some notifications can not be kept if they are evolved.

* Evolved notifications are not automatically removed by the originating app (e.g. when app is opened). A possible solution is being evaluated.

*Multi-line Text*: Expand truncated text into multi-lines.

*Stack*: Stack recent historical messages as a list.

"No Sticky": Hide sticky notification. (Android 8+)

*Call Vibrator*: Vibrate when out-going call is answered.

*WeChat*: Peek the recent messages in the expanded conversation notification.

Nevolution est une plate-forme ouverte pour Android évoluer l'expérience de notification des applications existantes, d'une manière créative de façon développeur indépendant via des plug-ins menés par la communauté, sans l'implication du développeur d'applications d'origine.

Android prend en charge l'expérience de notification très riche, et l'ensemble de fonctionnalités étendues dans presque toutes les grandes versions Android. Malheureusement, la plupart des applications utilisent seulement un petit ensemble de capacités limitées de la notification, les rendant moins élégante et même laid sur vos appareils Android modernes.

Si vous utilisez un Android Wear montre intelligente ou en voiture sous Android Auto, il est extrêmement déçu que probablement la plupart de vos applications préférées ne fonctionnent pas sur eux.

Nous ne demandons pas plus, mais leur montrer la bonne façon de construire une meilleure expérience, avec les efforts de la communauté Nevolution.

Limites

* Son de notification et les vibrations peuvent être interrompues au début. On travaille sur une solution.

* Avant Android 6.0, en raison de la limitation de la plate-forme, l'icône barre d'état des certaines notifications ne peuvent pas être conservés si elles sont évolué.

* Notifications Evolved ne sont pas supprimées automatiquement par l'application d'origine (par exemple, lorsque l'application est ouverte). Une solution possible est évaluée.
